In the framework of the ALCUE NET Project, the "Sensitization and Training Days on the Horizon 2020 Program" were held in La Paz (Bolivia).

On this occasion, special emphasis was placed on the new calls for the 2018-2020 period, especially those involving the CELAC countries.

The event was attended during the whole day by Mrs. Jenny Carrasco Arredondo, Vice Minister of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Education, who at the opening ceremony thanked the support of the European Commission, and the ALCUE NET project. Besides, Mrs. Carrasco especially thanked for the presence of lecturers Cristina Gómez Corchete, from the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness (MINECO) and National Contact Point for the Marie S.-Curie Actions (Spain), and Claudia Romano from the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) and Coordinator of the Latin American Network and Caribbean of National Contact Points "Red LAC NCP" (Uruguay), as well as all qualified participants who attended the event.

The importance that Bolivia places on the policies of Science, Technology and Innovation was specially mentioned. This activity was coordinated with the National Contact Point Coordinator from Bolivia, Mauricio Céspedes, who with the support of his Ministry made possible the participation of representatives from the main Universities of La Paz, Oruro, Cochabamba, Santa Cruz de la Sierra, as well as delegates from business associations such as the Chamber of Industry, Commerce, Services and Tourism of Santa Cruz Bolivia (CAINCO).

On the day of the 29th the Marie S.-Curie Actions (MSCA) and the collaborative projects were presented, providing information and tips for the formulation of proposals and their management.

Finally all participants carried out a practical exercise in groups according to their interests on the open calls. The day was evaluated by the participants as highly positive and very useful. The Contact Points carried out their planning for the year 2018.

On the 30th a workshop was held with the participation of the NCPs, with the aim of strengthening their capacities and promoting collaborative efforts throughout the country.

The good practices of other Liaison Offices in the region were exchanged, for example, the MINCYT (Argentina), the MEC-CUBIST (Uruguay), and the MINECO (Spain). In addition, they reported on how they work in Colombia and Costa Rica, in order to know different ways of promoting H2020 participation.

Experiences of the work carried out by each NCP were exchanged, and actions were planned for the remaining months of 2017 and 2018, towards the recent published calls.

This was a highlighted space by the participants as it promotes the dialogue and articulation between different public and private institutions.
