ALCUE NET meeting on Biodiversity and Climate Change in Marseille

In the frame of ALCUE NET activities, IRD is organizing a bi-regional meeting on biodiversity and climate change: “Capacity building and networking towards better coordination of biodiversity and climate change research” to be held on 26, 27 and 28 November in Marseille, France
The ALCUE NET bi-regional meeting - Capacity building and networking towards better coordination of biodiversity and climate change research - will be held on 26-28 November in Marseille, France and will be organized by theFrench Research Institute for Development (IRD), French Foundation for Biodiversity Research (FRB), and the Colombia Administrative Department for Science and Technology (COLCIENCIAS). Following Santa Marta workshop (March 2014) and the last SOM in San Jose (April 2014), this meeting has been created to meet the key objectives described below:
- Introduce significant international networks on biodiversity and climate change research;
- Offer new opportunities for developing synergies and joint activities;
- Share knowledge on observatories network and marine biodiversity and climate change research;
- Explore good practices and possible approaches to foster public-private partnerships.
Representatives of key European and international projects and EU-LAC experts specialized in biodiversity and climate change have been invited to provide the participants with valuable information and approaches for stimulating collaborative initiatives and transfer of knowledge.
