ERANet-LAC 2nd Joint Call is launched


The 2nd ERANet-LAC joint call for proposals was launched on 1st December 2015. 32 funding agencies from 26 countries in the EU and the CELAC are participating in this multilateral call with 10 topics from the thematic fields of Biodiversity/Climate, Bioeconomy,Energy, Health and ICT.

The aim of the ERANet-LAC Joint Calls is to start new, sustainable and multilateral research cooperation between researchers from Europe, Latin-America and the Caribbean countries. Within the framework of the 2nd ERANet-LAC Joint Call, transnational research and innovation projects will be funded for a period of up to 36 months. 

The design of the 2nd ERANet-LAC Joint Call is of a flexible nature to ensure that a wide variety of funding institutions is able to join the Joint Call – and that as many researchers as possible from European, Latin-American and Caribbean countries are eligible for funding. For this reason, each participating funding institution will apply its individual national/ regional funding regulations. Applicants should therefore, before the submission of a proposal, check the national /regional regulations of their funding organisations.

The following countries are participating: Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Turkey, and in Latin-America / Caribbean: Argentina, Barbados, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago and Uruguay.
